About

Hat Fidkin is a herbalist, astrologer, artist, writer and researcher currently based in the UK. They started Datura Astrobotanics as a way to fuse their practices in a way that allows them to sing together, whilst providing guidance and healing for their community. 

Hat’s connection to more-than-human others has been an omnipresent force throughout their life, which they mainly explored through visual and sonic arts as a child, teen and young adult, specialising in experimental sound and speculative fiction at art school in Bristol. 

After graduating, they left the UK for Central America, spending some time living in Guatemala and Mexico after qualifying as a hatha yoga teacher. This is where they discovered a deep passion for permaculture, community living, astrology and herbalism. Further stints living off-grid deeply immersed in nature allowed Hat to develop their skills as a seer, honing their gifts of communication with the natural world as they came to realise that sharing this magic with others was their ultimate purpose. This year, Hat qualified as a sound healer in India, further expanding their practice to include their love of transcendental sound in the healing arts.

Hat is currently studying Medical Astrology at the Academy of Astrological Medicine and Astro-herbalism at the School of Evolutionary Herbalism.
